Common-Riding Dinner and Ball

The Common Riding Dinner will be held in the Town Hall on Friday 6th June prior to the Ball. Anyone wishing to attend the Dinner only – or Ball only – may do so as tickets will be sold separately. Seating plans for both functions will be in operation and a written list of all the names in the company must be supplied. Due to table size the maximum company size is 12 people. If your company is bigger, please split it into two companies. Any changes at a later date should also be notified. Please note attendees may not be in the same seats at both events and should consult the plans displayed. Tickets for both functions will be on sale in ILF Imaging, 1 Howegate 4pm-8pm on Friday 9th May on first come, first served basis. Cash or bank transfer only.
If over subscribed, names will go on a waiting list.
Meal choices & seating plans to be returned by 24th May.

Common Riding Dinner

The Dinner will commence at 7.30pm prompt (with access to the Hall from 7pm) finishing at 10pm. Patrons seated at centre tables should move through to the Bar to allow the floor to be cleared for the Ball. Anyone attending the Dinner only must vacate the Hall by 10.15pm. Please state your meal choice and special dietary needs when purchasing tickets. Choices are: Beef, Chicken or Vegetarian. Tickets are priced at £32 per person.

Common Riding Ball

Patrons attending the Ball only will not be able to access the Main Hall before 10.15pm, however, may wait in the Lesser Hall until this time. On conclusion of the Dinner, the Bar may be used until the Main Hall is made ready for the Ball. Tickets are priced at £15 per person. A strict dress code of Black Tie for Gentlemen and Long Evening Dress for Ladies must be observed. Doormen will be on duty. Strictly Over 18s Only. Those who are lucky enough to look under 18 may be asked for identification with proof of age and may be declined entry if proof of age cannot be
provided. The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any guests not adhering to the dress code and age restriction. Thank you for your co-operation. The Gallery will be open from 10.15pm until Midnight for spectators to view the Grand March and Cornet’s Reel (£2.00 entry). Entry via Cross Wynd.
